Goals

The Postgraduate Program in Animal Biology at UFV aims to train qualified human resources in the basic area of ​​Zoology, within the Biology and Animal Management line of research, capable of carrying out activities related to the characterization, conservation and management of animal diversity, within an evolutionary and ecological perspective, with applicability of concepts and techniques in research, teaching, environmental projects and animal production. To achieve these objectives, the Master’s degree provides solid training in Zoology, Ecology, Evolution, Taxonomy, Behavior, Physiology and Pathology, integrating knowledge from an environmental perspective. The duration of the Master’s degree is 24 months and the doctorate’s duration is 48 months.
